I am a native North Carolinian, originally from Raleigh. I joined the US Air Force in 1990 where I relocated several times over a period of eight years before returning to North Carolina. I have continued my military career as a Citizen Airmen with the NC Air National Guard in Charlotte totaling more than 25 years of current military service. I earned my degree in business through University of Phoenix and obtained many valuable leadership skills focusing on team management and customer service through my military education. Throughout my career and education, I uncovered a natural desire to work with and help people. Coupled with my military career, in 2007 I had the pleasure of working with and serving military Veterans and their families in a support role as a government contractor. The greatest reward for working with these families was knowing that I played a key role in fulfilling their needs. For eight years I travelled all 54 states and territories, some more than once.
